17.5 miles!  Our bums hurt!!  Dinner at Vintage Cantina!!  I downed two coconut margaritas like water - because they have the BEST margaritas ever!!  

Justin Fries Chicken....

I left my kid to fry chicken for the first time, all by himself. To increase the challenge I sent him from scratch instructions for mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. Southern style, y'all.....so, we southerners, I believe, tend to make tasks more difficult than hey ought to be (but generally it makes a difference taste-wise.....and calorie-wise). Anyway, I got home and was greeted with the chore of cleaning up. My kid did say he tried to clean as he went. 🤔 I wasn't so sure. LOL!  But, the chicken turned out freaking fantastic!!

He said after cooking for 7 hours, he ain't doing it again. 😉We shall see. I'm sure I can con him into it. Well, I might have to bribe him. 

I Shouldn't Have To Suffer With Cold Feet...

....just because I live with a bunch of cry-babies!

So, guess what?  I did something about it. 

HEY!  All you MEN who design duct work for homes and shit, pay attention!  I think you're idiots!  If a WOMAN designed this shit, trust me....you wouldn't find air vents beneath sinks!  WHY!? Because men don't stand there!  Like....ever!  (I say it's about damn time, though!). 

It may not be pretty...but at least I can be comfortable in my own damn house!

I did take the cover off and sealed the back (albeit with a Meijer sack, paper towels and duct tape) only to discover a 1/2 inch gap across the WHOLE baseboard!  I think that is evidence of POOR craftsmanship!  House was built in '92.  

Go ahead. Ask me if I care about putting duct tape on wood......

Tools of the trade...😆. You work with what you have,I guess. 

It may not be pretty but if it gets the job done, I don't really care. Besides, if anyone is inspecting my baseboards....well, they're just weird.

Daily Rambling, 5-22-17

I finally had to break down and turn the heat back on. I have been chilled to the bone for days now. I know it's supposed to get into the upper 60's today but I need a little edge. Most pleasant, comforting feeling?  Going potty in the half bath. It's the smallest room with a vent so it's so toasty warm and comfy. Never has peeing put such a happy smile on my face. Sigh. 

Well, maybe not. Sometimes when you gotta go THAT bad, simply peeing can be a GREAT feeling, too. 

Tyler Got His Drivers License!

It's been a long time coming - almost a year after he was able to get his license, he finally got it. Got to fix the muffler on his car then he'll be all set!
