Decking the Tree

We had a nice thanksgiving dinner, me, Sky, the kids, Robin, mama and Gordie. Then I made everyone help hang the ornaments ('cause I usually get stuck with the job all alone). And, if you can see the computer below, Dky wasn't exactly helping with the tree but doing some early Black Friday scouting, well - he bought his Christmas gift, too. :)

Embracing Introversion: Ways to Stimulate Reserved Students in the Classroom

Click on the link just below.  This is the best article I've come across and it discusses introverted children, how they behave and what they need in school.  I think many have been, myself included, neglectful of a person's personality and have targeted introverted people as those who seeks attention, behave in a sassy way, people who don't seem to care, or even as people who need medication.  This article points out that introverts aren't broken and don't need to be 'fixed.'  Their personality is more reserved.  This is also an extroverted world we live in but that doesn't mean introverts can't be a part of it or that they can't be successful.  This article was written in 2012 and I wish I had come across it then.  I could've used it when speaking to Tyler's teachers in 7th/8th grade.  Me, my sister, Tyler and Joshua all fall into this category.
