Justin got all the layers made for his 2nd attempt at Nana's 12 layer cake. Mistake #1:  he used 1 stick of butter as opposed to 1 cup of butter, which would actually have been 2 sticks of butter. Maybe no one will notice. 

Time to start the tedious and time consuming task of icing the 12 layers (which eventually became an Eleven Layer cake!)

It kept sliding!  The icing wouldn't 'dry.'

Oh lord. 

Poor baby. Well, we managed to salvage it by steadying it with the tube from the now empty roll of tin foil. It was rather hilarious and unfortunately I didn't get a photo of it. Justin took it to his work party and supposedly everyone liked. He has the nicest coworkers!

We'll try again next year!
