Justin and his friends from shcool at Baird's Creek

I found the mushroom we saw growing off a fallen tree to be very interesting. I love the way the underside of it looks. Justin thought the stem looked like a banana peel - which was true, the picture doesn't exactly show it in detail.

Justin feeling a mushroom that was growing on a tree that had fallen.

Writing what he sees, feels, hears, and smells using descriptive words.
A field trip to Baird's Creek to work on their poetry unit. I was a volunteer driver/chaperone. It was cold and windy but fun.

Justin in deep thought

All of my boys have loved Thomas. Justin and Tyler will still build tracks. I can't imagine Thomas will leave our home any time soon.
