Cute page from when Justin started Kindergarten.

Pictures sometimes don't do justice. I was really proud of this page. I held onto the pic forever trying to find the right paper to use. It's Pa Bo and Justin, done in sepia. Torn edging is accented with brown stamp pad. The tag is raised.

Justin enjoying the game - the Blizzard won - it was fun. Wish we could've stayed for it all.

Presenting the colors - I wish the lighting was better. Oh well, I probably blinded everyone with a flash that didn't do me any good.

Kids getting lined up to present the colors.

What was I thinking!?

He did alright but we still left early. Just before the 2nd quarte ended.

About an hour or more before the game started. They're warming up. We're pretty close. The tickets said, "Attendee assumes ALL risk." Now I get it! Sure am glad we were behind the net.

Here are the boys before the game!

Mind you - I was inside taking these shots through the window. It was freezin'!!!

So cold - Easter day. The boys were determined to fly their kites.

It's one of those instincts we're born with - you start with the EARS!!!!!!

He sat on the potty forever and wouldn't go. He had O.J. and water and milk. So, I got the tea pitcher (that wasn't being used) and filled it with warm water and let him play! We were watching Caillou, sitting on the potty, playing in a bucket of water. What a morning!

Finally, a little dribble!!!!!!!

Joshua checking out what the Easter Bunny left him.

Tyler picking through all his treats!

Justin opening an egg!

Easter! Tyler and Justin showing off what the Easter Bunny left them in their baskets.

Isn't he too cool! I love the angle of this pic!

I took Joshua to the playground. It was way too cold but the sun was shining!

Justin during his golf Exploratory. They were supposed to go to Mr. Golf but there was a mix up with the bus situation. But, they made the best of it at the school. Nothing like playing golf in the halls!

IT's a SNAKE CAKE!!!!

Great job boys!

giving it a pattern

icing the green giant!

Tyler helping with the cake for the auction.

--->>>> Over the bowl, OVER the bowl

LOL!!!!

Justin helping make a cake for the cake auction for the cub scouts.

Bombs Away!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tyler at swimming at the YWCA - for Exploratories. It's not just fun, it's not just swim lessons - they learn about their surroundings and what things mean (that they haven't seen before or given any thought to). The teacher is a Kindergarten teacher - who was so good at the actual swim instruction she could give lessons. The other teacher were 4 7th/8th grade students. They all did a geat job!

Playgroup! Tyler, Austin, Maddie, Joshua, Stephanie, Jamie, Justin, Ben, Julia, and Matthew!
Boy was that a crazy night - but fun, too.

BEAR!

Eating cupcakes!

Making cupcakes!

Wildlife Bingo!

Joshua petting a snake at the Bay Beach Wildlife Museum. (He got to pet a skunk, too.) We were there with Tammy and Matthew. They had a good time, I think.

Tyler and the rest of the Tigers on a City Bus ride! (Kind of weird not having your kids buckled in, though)

Austin, Jamie, and my boys giving Joshua a much enjoyed wagon ride.

My boys!

Joshua was at daycare.

Tyler getting ready for a strike!

Justin at the bowling alley

This is actually a pretty cool pic of Justin bowling. If you double click on it to enlarge it you can see what I mean. He had fun but to see him run up to the lane with that heavy ball in hand is funny!

Tyler granny-bowling! He did pretty good, though. He had fun.

Pinewood Derby! The boys didn't win any races this year but they did get a pretty cool participation trophy!

At the Races!!!

Another Enjoyable Quote!

On my Starbuck's coffee cup was a quote by Keith Mastrion that I really liked and thought I'd share:

A child's mind isn't a blank slate; it's more of a jungle. Each time a parent helps a toddler read, the child is walked through this jungle from one side to the other. Trip after trip, a seemingly impossible passage becomes a well-worn path. Children sent to kindergarten skipping merrily along this path to literacy fare far better than those sent to school with machetes.

Enjoyable Quote!

Hello Everybody!

I love Starbuck's - everyone knows that. But, I also enjoy the quotes that come on the cups. I have found numerous quotes that affect me - you know those things you hear or read that make so much sense that you want to start living life that way or this way. Well, I figured I'll start sharing some of my favorites. I have one that I'll post after this one because I have to look it up. The one I'm sharing with you now is part of #204 by Paulo Coelho.

"You can choose between being a victim of destiny or an adventurer who is fighting for something important."

Which reminds me of "see a need, fill a need" from Robots, the movie.

Of Course, it's easy to find something important to fight for but the hard part is sticking to it.
